Wedding Day

The Ceremony

Ceremony Time: 4:00 PM, 1600 Military Time

Imagine the Texas hill country before it was developed.  Oak and Cedar trees surrounded by tall brown grasses, under a beautiful blue sky.  We worked to find the most remote location possible to get married.  Head out to Johnson City, go a bit northwest, and you’ll end up in a new neighborhood that is mostly undeveloped.  There on a ridge, with visibility for miles in all directions, we will say our vows.

Because the ceremony location is so remote and undeveloped, we are providing you with GPS Coordinates, a Google Maps link, and a rough address.

GPS Coordinates:  30.356490, -98.320171

Address: The Summit at Cypress Mill Lot #70, Johnson City, Texas 79636

Driving Directions:  From Johnson City, take 281 North.  Turn right on Cypress Mill Road and drive 3.7 Miles.  Take a left into the gate community of “The Summit at Cypress Mill.”  Drive straight up the hill and keep taking right turns until you reach Lot #70.  We will put up signs and train the deer to stand and point in the right direction.

The Reception

Reception Time: 5:00 PM-ish, 1700 Military Time

Get ready for BBQ and PIE! Our reception will be happening at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls. It’s about a 25 minute drive from the ceremony to the reception, so you’ll have time to get hungry! Each winter, the city takes part in an event called “The Walkway of Lights” – a spectacular event of over two million Christmas lights decorating the shores of Lake Marble Falls. All these lights will be right outside the reception, so expect dinner and a show!  Incidentally, if you hit a deer on the drive to or from the ceremony, please stop and get the back straps for Matt and Rachel as a wedding gift.

Dinner will be BBQ provided by Rudy’s, and dessert will be pie from The Bluebonnet Cafe.  Check out their pie menu and let us know if you have any requests!

Venue: The Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls

Address: 307 Buena Vista Drive Marble Falls, TX 78654

Driving Directions From Ceremony:  From the ceremony, take the road back down the hill, turn right out of the subdivision, and head back to 281.  Turn right onto 281 heading North and drive 18.6 miles.  Turn left onto 1st street and then another left onto Yett street (insert joke about are we there “yett?”).  Continue onto Buena Vista Drive.  The Lakeside Pavilion will be on the left.
